Mandela appoints Will Smith as his Aids man
IOL: Health: "Nelson Mandela on Thursday appointed Hollywood actor and rap music artist Will Smith global ambassador for his 46664 Aids awareness campaign.
Smith, who was in the country to promote his latest film I, Robot, a science-fiction thriller, said he was honoured and would 'humbly' and 'aggressively' respond to the former South African president's request.
Smith who was accompanied by his wife, actress Jada Pinkett-Smith and their two children, met Mandela, known fondly as Madiba, four years ago and sought advice from the charismatic leader who turned 86 in July."
